A Lucky Accident About This Shampoo

All right, so I am going to review my Moroccan oil shampoo and conditioner. I use this product because I went home to take care of a friend. So this is a little Morbid, but she’d actually got sick and she had a brain tumor and so somebody had gifted her shampoo and conditioner. So I kept saying to her, “Oh my gosh, you smell so good. What is it?” and she told me about this product.

Great for Colored Hair

So I bought it because you could smell it from, I don’t know, as soon as I’d walk in the room you could just smell it, which is why I bought it. I really like it as well because I also went to … I got my hair done and the lady said that this brand doesn’t strip your hair of color. I don’t really color my hair that often, but when I do, she says that this will not strip the color and is a must have in taking care of your colored hair.

I believe it’s the Argan oil that gives it this property and that it will keep all the oils or something in your hair. I’m not really sure about that but yeah, it keeps my hair feeling really smooth and … I have really frizzy hair and so this basically doesn’t … It doesn’t make it frizz, keeps it smooth, and this specific one, this is the moisture repair shampoo, and I also use the moisture repair conditioner. I use them both together. I have to use conditioners. If I don’t use conditioner, my hair will absolutely frizz. Even with this, the shampoo’s great, but I have to have a conditioner in my hair as well. I can’t just use shampoo.

I Use Both The Shampoo & Conditioner Together which gives me Massive Moisture Repair

Yeah, I use both of them together. I did try … so Moroccanoil does have different types of shampoos and conditioners. There’s a hydrating one, there’s a smooth one, a color one. The hydrating one I also used, but it didn’t do the same thing. My hair was still … It was still dry and it was still kind of frizzy. It actually made it quite brittle. It was almost dried out, which was quite strange, so the moisture repair is really … I have to have this one, otherwise it doesn’t do the same thing. Now my hair has elasticity, volume, and is extremely healthy all around.

How Frequently I use it

Yeah, I love it. I use it every … I wash my hair every day, or maybe like once every  two or three days. But I wash my hair quite often. The only downside to this is that it’s expensive. It’s about, I think for this bottle it’s about $65, $70 maybe after taxes. But for me, I’d rather spend more money on a product that I love and I use every day rather than a mediocre product that is half the cost but doesn’t quite give me the same sense of enjoyment. Also, I’ve got a massive liter bottle that’s quite big so it’ll last for about 3-6 months depending on how long your hair, and it’s a good brand, which is why I like it.

And also, they have other things as well that I can use with it, so I could use a shine spray, I can use the actual oil. It comes with different things that I can use that has the same smell, which for me is good, because it’s consistent, so I’m not putting in something that smells different, because I’ve used some products where I’ll put in a sea salt spray or I’ll use a mousse or something and it doesn’t have the same smell. I don’t know. I don’t like those other weird, new age products that really don’t do a lot for me. I like it having the same consistency throughout the whole thing.

Compared to Other Brands

I have tried other products, like Pantene and L’Oreal and brands, supermarket brands, but they just don’t do the same thing. The smell doesn’t last as long. It doesn’t feel the same. This really does make my hair feel smooth and it’s not frizzy and it’s … I don’t know. It’s just … I don’t know. It’s just the best thing I’ve ever put in my hair. That’s why I only use this – nothing comes close to this level of quality.

If I didn’t spend as much money on this or I don’t actually even know what I would use. I would probably, yeah, I don’t even know. But this is my favorite brand of hair shampoo. It’s my favorite hair product. I did complain to the company with the other one, the hydrating one, because the hydrating one, even though it made my hair brittle, I was really mad, because it’s a really good company, and they did tell me that because I’d bought it, they couldn’t change it, so that’s why I started using the moisture repair one, because it’s the only one that really works for my hair.

So yeah. That’s why I like this. It’s what I consider the best shampoo and conditioner for colored hair, and yeah, that’s my review.
