There are plenty of facial exercises that you can do, anytime and anywhere you wish. Let's take a look at 7 to get you started!
Lie on your bed with your face up and your neck on the edge. Allow your head to relax while hanging. Slowly lift your neck by contracting the muscles in the area, and curl your head toward your chest. Remember to keep your shoulders flat on the bed as you do the movement. Hold this position for about 10 seconds, and slowly go back to the starting position.
The entire movement will count as one repetition. You need to do two repetitions to complete one set. Do three sets per session, but make sure to sit up between sets to avoid dizziness. In case you feel dizzy, slowly bring your body to a comfortable sitting position between each repetition. It might feel uncomfortable at first, but you will eventually get the hang of it.
Tilt your head back while you sit with your back straight and shoulders relaxed. This position will cause you to look at the ceiling. The next step would be to press your tongue flat forcefully against the roof of your mouth, and then slowly lower your chin to your chest.
Always perform this exercise with your back straight. Avoid rounding your back during the movement. You should feel the front of your neck and your chin contract. Return to the starting position by relaxing your tongue, and straightening your neck. Do 20 repetitions to complete one set every day.
You can do this exercise while on a standing or sitting position. Simply stick out your lower lip to form a pout. Extend it as far as you can, and hold the contraction for one second before using the muscles at the front of your neck to lower your chin to the chest.
Keep your back straight during the movement. Hold this position for another second, and then return to the starting position by relaxing your lips and straightening your neck. Do 20 repetitions to complete the set.
Let your arms hang at your sides as you stand tall. Tilt your head back and then attempt to kiss the ceiling by sticking out your lips and extending them as far as you can. You should feel your chin and neck muscles tightening as you do this movement. Hold the position for five seconds before relaxing your lips and lowering your chin to return to the starting position. Do two sets of 15 repetitions each.
Straighten your back by elongating your spine while in a standing or seated position. Slowly rotate your head using your chin, so it completes a full circle. If your neck feels uncomfortable during the movement, you can do semicircles, instead. Make sure to keep your shoulders relaxed during the entire exercise. Complete 10 repetitions per session, but remember to repeat in the opposite direction.
You can do this chin toning workout while in a standing or seated position. Simply do the movement by elongating your spine for a straight back, and move your jaws up and down (as if you are chewing). Remember to keep your lips locked together as you inhale through your nose, and exhale while humming.
Open your mouth as wide as you can after exhaling, but do this while pressing the tip of your tongue gently against the back of your bottom teeth. The entire movement should take around 90 seconds to complete one repetition. Do two.
This workout is great in building muscles in your chin. You can do this chin toning exercise in a standing or seated position. The first step would be to open your mouth as wide as possible, and stick your tongue out with your best effort.
You should feel your neck and chin muscles tighten during the movement. Hold your tongue out for 10 seconds, before slowly returning to the starting position. Complete 10 repetitions per session.
You should keep your tongue clean since you will be looking at it quite often with all of these tongue exercises. :)
